Mother of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and subject of the 2019 Hulu original series The Act as well as the subject of the HBO documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest. She is known for her Munchausen syndrome by proxy and abuse of her daughter which led to her death in June of 2015.
She was born and raised in Chackbay, Louisiana and had her daughter Gypsy Rose Blanchard at 24 with her then 17 year old boyfriend Rod Blanchard.
