Johnny Carson was an American tv host, also known as the “Elvis of hosting.” He was a six-time Emmy award winner and is best known as the face of NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson from 1961 to 1992.
He married four times, the first time on October 1, 1949, to Joan Morrill (Jody) Wolcott, with whom he had three sons. On August 17, 1963, he married Joanne Copeland; on September 30, 1972, he married Joanna Holland; and on June 20, 1987, he married Alexandra (Alexis) Maas. He spent the last few years of his life sailing on his yacht.
