Roy Scheider is an actor best known for his roles as Amity’s heroic police chief Martin Brody in the iconic horror film Jaws, Joe Gideon in the 1979 musical film All That Jazz, and Detective “Cloudy” Russo in 1971’s The French Connection.
On November 8, 1962, Scheider married Cynthia Bebout. Before divorcing in 1986, the couple had one daughter, Maximillia (1963–2006). He married actress Brenda Siemer on February 11, 1989, with whom he had a son, Christian Scheider, and adopted a daughter, Molly. They were married till he died.
