Born to Colombian parents, Soraya Raquel Lamilla Cuevas spent her early years in both New Jersey, U.S.A. and her parents’ native country. Tragically, at age thirty-seven, she died of breast cancer, the same disease that had killed her mother, grandmother, and aunt.
